#NAPKIN25 Week 1 Results

Welcome, New Friends, Welcome Back Old Heads, and “Hey!” to all the folks who just wandered in. Week 1 is in the books, let’s begin…

BOW TO YOUR NAPKING!

WEEK 1 HIGH SCORE | BARKWHORE 239.8 Points

A trading card featuring the week 1 Napkin tournament high score

Our Week 1 High Scorer is BARKWHORE (Hardcore Parkour) out of League 26, posting 239.8 points! If you’ve been around The NAPKIN before, you probably thought, “Wait… that feels low.” You’d be right.

This wasn’t just a little low — it was the LOWEST weekly total in NAPKIN Tournament history. Josh Allen’s 58 didn’t even surpass the Cowboys’ 65-point game (in NAPKIN scoring) opening week of 2023 when they drubbed the Giants 40 to zip. That’s weak sauce, and we are all rooting for those big plays to start. The scoring drought hit so hard that we saw a record-low number of inductees into the 2HUNDRED CLUB: only 18 managers cracked the 200-point barrier.

A guillotine league’s worth of excellence graced 2HUNDRED CLUB in a low-key yet somehow also raucous affair. Let’s take a look at the Week 1 results to see what stood out.

Please note, since it is the first week, we do not have separate seasonal vs. weekly stats, but those will be added once we get a second week under our belt.

WEEK 1 NAPstats

Multiple charts featuring statistics from week 1 of the Napkin tournament

Well, Holy Bully RB, Batman…Round-one running backs are running the show in our tournament. Forty-six of the top 50 teams started with an RB, and nearly a third doubled down RB-RB. Not a single WR-WR start cracked the honor roll, a first for The NAPKIN.

Consensus 1.01 pick Ja’Marr Chase? The Bengals stubbed toes in Cleveland, and only three teams drafting from the one spot made the A-Team. By contrast, the 1.02 slot with Saquon Barkley or Bijan Robinson delivered 20 percent of our top grades and produced 10 more wins in Week 1 than the next-best draft slot.

As for our elite, the Top 22 (SZN 22) showcases a mix of familiar names and fresh contenders. Congratulations! I consider you all to be the 22 best players on Sleeper (this week).

Don’t see yourself on there? Better get yer grades up.
