Let’s take a look at who to target on your Week 15 Waiver Wire. In general, these players will be injury replacements or those who I think have a chance to break out. Remember, it’s unlikely that someone here will be the next fantasy great, but you should find some low-end RB2s, WR3s, and bye week starters with upside potential. Most players listed will be less than 50% owned, according to FantasyPros’ consensus roster percentage.
Week 15 Waiver Wire- Quarterback Targets
Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins (20.4% Rostered) | 4%-6% FAAB
Yes, he has been horrible all season, only averaging 12.2 points per game, but Tua Tagovailoa has some great playoff matchups. He faces Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and Tampa Bay, all of whom are in the top 10 in points allowed to quarterbacks this season and have been equally bad in recent games.
J.J. McCarthy, Vikings (26.7% Rostered) | 2%-3% FAAB
Here is another quarterback who has been fairly disappointing on the season, but has some great matchups coming up. Despite improving at the trade deadline, Dallas is still good for QBs, as are the Giants and Lions. You could do a lot worse than J.J. McCarthy while trying to win that championship. He is coming off a top-10 week against Washington and should have just as much upside the rest of the season.
Others to consider:
Kenny Pickett, Raiders (1.1% rostered) – Desperation play if Geno Smith is out.
Aaron Rodgers, Steelers (26.3% rostered) – Good matchup against Miami this week.
Shedeur Sanders, Browns (10.8% rostered) – Named the starter going forward and has a decent matchup against Chicago this week.
Riley Leonard & Phillip Rivers, Colts (<1% rostered) – Maybe if you’re in a 2QB/superflex league.
Week 15 Waiver Wire- Running Backs
Chris Rodriguez, Commanders (42.5% Rostered) | 11%-15% FAAB
Chris Rodriguez is clearly the number one running back in Washington. He is their only running back who has consistently played over 40% of the snaps the last three games, and in that time, he is out-touching (38 touches) both Jacory Croskey-Merritt (20 touches) and Jeremy McNichols (15 touches). Rodriguez also has a very favorable matchup against the Giants this week.
Jaylen Wright, Dolphins (2.9% Rostered) | 5%-7% FAAB
This is more of a handcuff play. De’Von Achane is banged up and may have to sit out this week. In this case, fire up Jaylen Wright. Wright played over half of the snaps with Achane hurt last week, had over 100 yards rushing, and has been out-snapping Ollie Gordon. With a great match-up against Pittsburgh this week, Wright will be an RB2, potentially an RB1, if Achane is out.
Others to consider:
Blake Corum, Rams (34.7% rostered) – I mentioned him last week. He is a great handcuff, though the coming matchups are tough.
Rasheen Ali, Ravens (0.6% rostered) – Handcuff for Derrick Henry, since Keaton Mitchell is banged up.
Week 15 Waiver Wire- Wide Receivers
Luther Burden III, Bears (23.1% rostered) | 7%-11% FAAB
With Rome Odunze potentially out for multiple weeks, look for Luther Burden to step up.
Burden has not gotten fewer than five targets since Week 10. Sure, Caleb Williams likes to target Olamide Zaccheaus randomly, but he hasn’t seen more than three targets over the last four weeks. Burden and D.J. Moore should be the 1a and 1b in this offense going forward, and I expect them both to do well in the coming weeks.
Jack Bech, Raiders (1.4% rostered) | 1%-3% FAAB
On Sunday, Jack Bech finally started to look like the receiver many thought he would be. He had six targets for 50 yards against a good Denver defense. Depending on which Philadelphia defense shows up this week, Bech could have another good game, especially if Kenny Pickett is the starting quarterback. Right now, he is a deep stash, but if he keeps this up, he will be a great WR3/flex play against the Giants in Week 17.
Others to consider:
Tim Patrick (1.1% rostered) – Decent stash with good playoff matchups, assuming Trevor Lawrence keeps targeting him.
Christian Watson, Packers (49.7% rostered) – He is becoming less of a boom/bust player and more of a go-to guy for Jordan Love. He has good match-ups the next three weeks.
Week 15 Waiver Wire- Tight Ends
Mike Gesicki, Bengals (2.7% rostered) | 7%-11% FAAB
Joe Burrow is back, and with him, so is Mike Gesicki. In the last three weeks, Gesicki has been the TE9 in three tough match-ups. Coming up, he has a difficult game against Baltimore, but a couple of great ones against Miami and Arizona. Lock him up before someone else does.
Ben Sinnott, Commanders (0.9% rostered) | 1%-2% FAAB
Zach Ertz is out for the season, so expect Ben Sinnott to take over as the TE1 in Washington. He has a tough match-up against the Giants this week, but his talent could take over in Weeks 16 and 17 against Philadelphia and Dallas.
Others to consider:
Colston Loveland, Bears (44.0% rostered) – He is getting more involved every week.
Colby Parkinson, Rams (3.4% rostered) – He has been getting a lot of targets lately.
