Over and Under Reactions for the 2027 Fantasy Season

Is it ever too early to start planning your 2027 championship run? Join Doug and Mikey V on Bourbon and Ball as they break down the most controversial over and under reactions for the 2027 fantasy baseball season. Whether you are coming off a league win or looking for immediate redemption, these insights will help you build your draft board with a massive head start. ⚾️🥃

In this episode, we tackle the burning questions facing fantasy managers. Is Paul Skenes still a lock for the top ten starting pitchers, or has he become a risky namesake pick after a step back? We analyze the potential of young arms like Nolan McLean and Cam Schlittler, debating if Schlittler’s dominant numbers officially make him a first round talent. We also look at the Chicago White Sox rotation and whether Sean Burke can emerge as a legitimate Cy Young candidate.

On the hitting side, we discuss the massive depth at third base with stars like Junior Caminero, Alex Bregman, and Jose Ramirez. Is Jake McCarthy the most underrated outfielder in the game right now, and is it time to give him the respect he deserves in Colorado? We also dive into the radical no catcher strategy and why William Contreras might be the only backstop worth an early selection. Plus, we discuss how the rise of relief eligible starters is changing the way we look at closers and bullpen management.
